This project refers to the establishment of a fully automated petroleum storage facility with a holding capacity of 50 million litres, plus a dedicated jetty, a 50 room office complex, 3 kilometers of road network, and an automatic water evacuation system. The jetty’s port side is fitted with a mix of cone automated fenders and ordinary cylindrical fenders, to enable safe and efficient berthing of vessels, upon arrival.

The main facility is equipped with water and foam firefighting systems and all the necessary structural apparatus. All loading and discharge operations are automated and capable of being controlled remotely. Energy Culture’s scope of work in the project concerned the monitoring and coordination of six (6) different contractors nominated to handle various segments of the project.

Undertaking this type of project requires the full participation of a Project Manager and/or Lender’s Engineer that possesses a broad understanding of how to manage the work of several contractors under a single structure and then create a schedule that will enable the timely integration of their deliverables in a harmonized sequence. Funding of this project was closed in February 2012 and the project was delivered and handed over to the promoter by March 2013.
