The project refers the development of a 24 MW power plant for the generation and distribution of power within the Free-trade Zone at the Tarkwa Bay Area. The project comprises the deployment of two (2) MAN Diesel and Turbo dual-fuel generating sets with a capacity of 6.1 MW each. Substation and control systems are also to be delivered under an Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) arrangement. The LADOL project aims to generate reliable and cost-effective power through the utilization of both
diesel and natural gas fuels. The idea is to generate and sell power on a captive basis to LADOL Integrated Logistics Free Zone Enterprise, who will in turn distribute and sell to various end-users within the environment.
Hence, in order to undertake this project, LADOL Integrated Logistics Free Zone Enterprise approached Infrastructure Credit Guarantee Company Limited (“InfraCredit”) for a guarantee to support the funding.

As part of the Due Diligence requirement for financing, InfraCredit engaged the services of Energy Culture to carry out Technical Due Diligence (TDD) on the project in order to identify the gaps and associated risk that can impact viability.

The scope of Energy Culture’s work included a preliminary desktop review, site visitation to ascertain work in progress and available assets and conduct of a detailed risk evaluation.
