Ahmad Damcida

AHMAD DAMCIDA is the Chief Executive Officer and head of the company’s operations and new projects – He is an energy industry service professional, with vast knowledge in trading, project development and coordinated service offerings. He has over 14 years’ experience in developing projects across business segments in energy, mining, real estate and infrastructure.

He is responsible for spearheading Energy Culture towards the present day vision of becoming a recognized project solutions provider in Africa’s energy industry. His efforts have not only propelled the company’s growth, but it has as also enabled the management properly harness the opportunities available in the business environment. He has disseminated enormous information and transferred un-quantifiable knowledge to the company’s manpower, having acquired such over time from researches and experiences gained from his previous working association with organizations like; Capital Resources Limited, Center for Global Energy Studies UK and Emirate Energy Limited, to mention a few. He is committed to ensuring that the company achieves optimal excellence in the activities outlined within her operational portfolio under his stewardship.

He is a member of the International who is who of professionals (Member ID-5643544), a member of the Project Management Institute, with Project Management certifications. He is also a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals.

Mr. Damcida has a university degree in Banking & Finance from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria, and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Energy Supply & Trading, from the College of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Oxford. He is also an Alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Business School and a member of the 41st graduating class of Owner President Manager (OPM) program of the same institution.

Lanre Badmus

LANRE BADMUS is the Divisional Director at Energy Culture Limited and a Director in Abeokuta IPP Limited. He is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng), from the University of Benin and has over 14 years of field experience in oil & gas, power and construction related industries. Having worked with organizations such as ABB Lummus Global and Oilstax International Limited in the early days of his career, he had a solid foundation before joining Energy Culture Limited.

Mr. Badmus has an excellent understanding of complex technical challenges in the oil upstream and power, along with a good sense of commercial awareness of these industries. He was at a time very prominent in the development of Nigeria’s Natural Gas industry plan, when he offered to lead (on pro-bono basis) an advisory role in a Government / Private Sector unified Natural Gas supply and distribution strategy implementation program at the beginning of the would be Natural Gas revolution in Nigeria.

Mr. Badmus started his career as an oil field design and instrumentation engineer under ABB. His contributions and experiences in the industry were obvious during his participation in the redesign and upgrade Bemiboye Flow station, operated by AGIP Oil Nigeria Limited, along the Forcados axis in the Niger-Delta region and the Cawthorne Creek Flow station, Ekulama 1 and 2 Flow stations.

Mr. Badmus is a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals and a Certified Energy Risk Professional (ERP)

Adebayo Okupe

ADEBAYO OKUPE is the executive in charge of project implementation and services. He is a graduate of Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State. Before joining Energy Culture Limited, he was at Motophone Ltd (A Chagoury Group Company) and Modern Telecommunications Limited (A Chagoury Group Company), where he was deployed to Port Harcourt, Nigeria to set up a new branch office there to serve the Eastern zone with the then 3.5 GHZ microwave internet technology.

He served there in the capacity of a Chief Technology Officer before resigning in 2004 to join Netcom Africa as an executive and then held a managerial position shortly before resigning there to join Energy Culture Limited.

Mr. Okupe is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Ehoche Akogwu

EHOCHE AKOGWU is a graduate of Geology from the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology in Petroleum Engineering from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Canada, and a Masters degree in Geology from the University of Texas at Arlington. His career cuts across several geologic plays and engineering field locations in Canada and the USA. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), The American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), and the Society of Black Engineers (SBE). He is also a recipient of two scholarship awards - one from Exxon Mobil/NMGS awards for Research Excellence (undergraduate Thesis) and another from Shell Petroleum development Company for Outstanding New Candidates into Nigerian Universities.

Mr. Akogwu commenced his career in the Upstream Oil and Gas industry under Chinook Consulting, Calgary Canada as a Wellsite Geologist – carrying out pre-drill studies, well to seismic ties, analyzing and evaluating formations while drilling. He thereafter proceeded to work with Weatherford Canada as a Reservoir Fluids/PVT Analyst, to perform Rock Geomechanical Property Characterization, and writing special core programs, amongst other exciting responsibilities. After two years, he was moved to the Secure Drilling Division of Weatherford, and functioned as a Well Engineer; designing wells and determining their right placement.

He joined EnCana Cooperation in Canada as an Operations Manager for three years; identifying opportunities for improvement with field operations, being responsible for routine integrity inspection of several production assets (Process Plants, Wellheads and Well Pads, Oil Batteries, Condensate Farms, Gas Batteries, Tank Farms, Production Lines, etc), and systems engineering of various projects. In November 2014, Mr. Akogwu returned to Nigeria and subsequently took position as the Head of Operations and Project Management at Idyllic & Fizz Consulting in Lagos – ensuring detailed project planning and control, progress monitoring and milestone attainment on key energy projects for Multinationals (SPDC, Chevron, etc), Indigenous E&P and Service Companies (Seplat, NestOil, Makon Engineering, OPI), and some banks (First Bank of Nigeria, Access Bank, Diamond Bank). He is presently with Energy Culture Limited as Head of Field Operations (Upstream).

Kemi Mustapha

KEMI MUSTAPHA is the head of procurement and logistics of the company. Prior to joining the company, she served at the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG). Her current responsibilities encompass managing project procurements, ensuring a timely preparation and implementation of logistics plans, review and verify all orders from vendors, vetting of contracts and internal document control.

Her contributions to the growth and development of the company have been quite commendable and distinctive. She holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the Bayero University Kano, she is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and also a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Engr. Ohijeagbon Ohiozua David

ENGR. OHIJEAGBON OHIOZUA DAVID serves in the capacity of a project analyst and reporting personnel, in the project division of Energy Culture Limited. He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Thermo-fluids) from the University of Lagos and a B. Engr (Mechanical) from University of Ilorin. He has a flare for the energy business, having authored and co-authored a number of research papers in journals like Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments (Elsevier) Renewable Energy (Elsevier), International Journal of Ambient Energy (Taylor & Francis), Sustainable Cities and Society (Elsevier), Journal of African Research in Business & Technology (IBIMA), International Journal of Environmental, Chemical, Ecological, Geological, and Geophysical Engineering (WASET), and Frontiers in Energy (Springer).

He previously worked as an admin officer in the Federal University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, before moving to Delta Steel Company, where he was a total production maintenance engineer. Further to this period, he also had a brief stint in the academia, where he worked as a research associate with Energy Research Group at the University of Lagos, before he was appointed as an operations and maintenance engineer at AES Nigeria's 294 MW - barge power plant.

His passion is to acquire and develop more knowledge of interest and responsibility, through utilizing his engineering skills and team work potentials. Mr. Ohijeagbon is a Project Management Professional (PMP)

Engr. Shokare Grant

ENGR. SHOKARE GRANT, is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious University of Benin. He is presently a Mechanical and Quality Coordinator at Energy Culture Limited, with a discerning eye for detail and commitment towards process adoption.

Engr. Shokare Grant is responsible for review of Project Design Documentation, Quality assurance and quality control, development of HSES guidelines and supervision of its adaptation into Job procedures, work method statements and other associated responsibilities.

Engr. Shokare Grant has vast project Engineering experience in the Nigerian Oil and Gas sector and started his prolific career working at the Utorogu Gas Plant/Flow Station commissioned by the Shell Petroleum Development Company as an Industrial Trainee. He, however, quickly rose through the ranks to become a resident Project Engineer.

Before joining Energy Culture Limited he had worked with companies such as; Dee Dynamic Construction Limited, Ariboil / Nitowens Integrated Services Limited, EPCM Engineers Limited under the capacity of a Project Engineer Project, Supervisor, QA/QC Engineer, Safety Manager. At Energy Culture Limited, Engr. Shokare Grant has proven his engineering prowess and endurance, through demonstrating a continuous ability to work as a team player. He is self motivated, target oriented and an invaluable addition to the company.

Engr. Shokare is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), Member Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MNiMechE), a division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Member Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE) and also Member Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

Engr. Obi Marcellinus Ogochukwu

OBI MARCELLINUS OGOCHUKWU is currently the Mechanical Engineering Coordinator of the company’s project development and management services. Having drawn some good years of his experience from Kenol Nigeria Limited and Pressto Nigeria Limited, where he was selected to work as a part of Oando PLC’s project team.

He has a sound knowledge of project development, coordination and management. He has built capacity across a number of industries, with a flair for developing projects in power, processing, terminals, pipelines / flow systems and infrastructure.

He is a seasoned team manager who adheres adequately to contract roles and resource optimization. His professional competence and managerial prowess have been earned through various trainings and seminars both home and abroad. His consistent and perseverant disposition has always placed him on a key role in the success making process of noble ideas and organizational set goals.

Engr. Ogochukwu, is a recipient of the competitive development solutions master's scholarship award for developing nations of the world at the University of Nottingham, where he acquired a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering to further develop his earlier obtained bachelor’s degree from the Federal University of Technology, Yola. He is a graduate member of The Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers, and also holds a proficiency certificate in Management and Graduate Membership of Nigerian Institute of Management. Engr. Ogochukwu is also a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Engr. Apata Abiodun Adesina

ENGR. APATA ABIODUN ADESINA, is presently an electrical engineering coordinator with the project division of Energy Culture Limited. He possesses a good working knowledge of electrical power systems, having gained experience from a number of projects he was involved in during his employment with PHCN (Power Holding Company of Nigeria). main areas of expertise are concentrated around; installation of transformation and distribution systems, end-use point wiring and internal industrial installations. He possesses a very sound ability to interpret electrical drawings and load analysis.

Prior to his employment with PHCN, he was the technical head of AA Group Nigeria Limited, where he supervised and managed installation of security devices and base stations and before that period, he was an assistant maintenance engineer (electrical) with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), where he was involved in the maintenance of electrical systems within the organization. During the early days of his career, he also served as a maintenance officer at the United Bank of Africa (UBA).

Mr. Adesina, is a graduate of Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State, where he obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in electrical and electronics engineering. He holds certificates in security, safety, health, and environmental services and he is also a graduate member of the Nigeria Society of Electrical Engineers (N.S.E.E).

Adeyinka Adesina

ADEYINKA ADESINA has experience in Consulting and Construction. He is a Graduate Member of Nigerian Institution of Quantity Surveyors NIQS and also has a Proficiency Certificate in Management (PCM) from the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). Mr. Adeyinka currently doubles as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control personnel and a Quantity Survey Coordinator, at Energy Culture Limited. He has a Certificate in Project Management from London Academy Business School.

His first experience in construction was with Charterbridge Nigeria Limited in 2005 as a site supervisor/site QS, where he was involved in preparation and analysis of tender documents, preparation of materials and labour schedule and coordination of site work sequence.

Before joining Energy Culture Limited, he was at West Atlantic Woods Limited, Adewale Oduwole and Partners, Gbagura Integrated Projects and Intact Engineering, as a Project QS, whose responsibilities include; Preparation of Bills Of Quantities and tender documents, Preparation of Valuations, Preparation of Material schedules from Bills Of Quantities, Account Reconciliation, Attending site meetings, Carrying out negotiations, Supervision of site work, Monitoring and reporting, Materials requisitions etc.

He is a graduate of the Prestigious Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, where he acquired a Higher National Diploma (HND).

Gabriel Nwakwasi

GABRIEL NWAKWASI is a Field Safety Audit and Process Coordinating Personnel at Energy Culture Limited. He is a Certified Security Professional, a Certified Protection Officer and a Certified Workplace and Control Professional. He is a team player with passion and track record in driving team members to achieve success during very critical assignments. Mr. Nwakwasi has the ability to dynamically overcome challenges and the composure to work under pressure in a multi-disciplined environment.

He is highly skilled in managerial processes; project and event related planning; risk analysis, investigations & HSSE policy implementation. He started his career as a service engineer with CFAO Technologies in 2004, before proceeding BiCourtney Aviation Services Limited, (the managers of Nigeria’s busiest airport) in 2006, to work as a security operative and eventually as a crime investigation officer. At the end of his tenure at Bi Courtney, he secured a brief contract employment with JK Peez Impex Company Limited, an Oil and Gas engineering company in 2012, before joining Ayiam Osigwe Group in 2013, as a facility manager.

Having acquired experience with working in several multi-disciplined establishments, he was also able to attend trainings and courses in fields relating to Health, Safety, Security and Project Management.

Among the trainings and courses attended are; the Basic Fire Safety and Emergency Management and the Basic Security Intelligence Course of the Nigerian Army Intelligence School. Mr. Nwakwasi is a graduate of Physics from the Imo State University, Owerri and also holds an Executive Masters Certificate in Project Management from the Project Management College, with memberships of organizations such as the International Foundation for Protection Officers, the American Society for Industrial Security and the Association of Industrial Security and Safety Operators of Nigeria.
